FROM THE EDITOR:
This was sent  to me by someone I have known for many years.  The approximate time and place it was written are known to me.   The title was assigned to it.  If anyone knows who the original author is please advise. As I am anxious to give proper credit and also see if she/he has written more.  It came to me with the following explanation which I pass on to you.

I came across this poem the other day and I thought it was good.
It was in some old letters and papers.
It must have been something a high school sweetheart sent.
I find it lovely and worth sharing with people. I don't have a clue as to who wrote it.
Here it is:

ONLY ONE YOU
BY
Author Unknown

There is only one you, and there always will be,

Only one you in this heart for me.

Others may peruse as they happen by,

And for a moment attract my eye.

Others may flatter and even intrude,

To fascinate me for an interlude,

But I will return in a little while,

to the spell of your love,

And the warmth of your smile.

For there is only one you;

and there will always be,

Only one you in this world for me.
